First Day of Kingergarden

Lillian had her first day today and it all went well. I wasn't expecting anything too much but you never know. This is her third year at this school and she has the same teacher as the last two years. I really love this Montessori idea, it really is child centered. It's just that she is in all day kindergarten and I can't take her out, like last year, when I miss her and want to spend time with her. Maybe it's good that I'm not going to have too much time to myself, I might get accustomed to it:)
As for Margaret, we had to do a little extra paperwork for the INS. They have gotten really picky about what the homestudy says and needs to match exactly to the child you adopt. It finally got straightened out and is being sent tomorrow to them. We are waiting for Lillian's passport so we can send all of ours to the Chinese Embassy for visas. Trying to work around getting the visas and me needing my passport for work is a little tricky. Trying to get a couple of more big trips in for work before we leave is even trickier! Joe's always thinking about money!:) I'll be off for three months when we get back to get Margaret comfortable so we want to pay the bills as far ahead as we can. We did the same for Lillian but it was really hard to leave her after three months. I think it will be even harder leaving both girls this time around. Oh well, "I owe, I owe, so off to work I go....."
Will let you know when we get the T/A's.

  3. Oh, we are so excited for you and can't wait to follow your journey! Margaret is a doll, and Lillian is such a cutie! It's crazy that our girls are now in Kindergarten. It seems like we just brought them home. :(

  4. First - hooray for Lillian's first day in Kindergarten.

I read on the FTIA website that you'll be going to adopt your second daughter, Margaret, soon. God's blessings to you all... we have adopted twice, too, and couldn't be happier - it's the greatest gift to have children in our lives. Can't wait to read about your journey.
